Editorial
The year 2006 will go down in Rosminian history as the year that marked a decisive step towards Fr. Founder's Beatification.

The Spiritual Way of St Thérèse of Lisieux and of Antonio Rosmini
Undoubtedly St Thérèse was a soul consumed by the love of God. In her autobiography she describes her early ambition:"I wanted to be a priest, an apostle, a martyr, a Doctor of the Church. I wanted to accomplish the most heroic deeds!"

The Rosminian Institute in South Wales
It was in early March 1846 that the first Rosminians came to South Wales. Fr. Luigi Gentili and Fr. Furlong came to Newport to give a mission, one of so many that were given at that time by these brethren in cities across the country.

A Holiday in Africa
From Muheza I went on a five hour journey into the bush to visit our community in Kwediboma. The road was tarmac for a few miles and then it was un surfaced for the rest of the way. This road went through scrub and desert-like landscapes with baobab trees, giant prickly pear cacti, candelabra cacti and all types of acacia trees and thorn bushes.

Venerable Antonio Rosmini
His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI, on 26 June 2006, authorised the Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints to promulgate the Decree recognising the heroic virtues of Antonio Rosmini. This act also betows upon Rosmini the title venerable.

A Chronology Summary of the Cause of Antonio Rosmini
26.06.2006 -The Osservatore Romano, on the appointed day, publishes the news that Pope Benedict XVI has signed the Decree on the heroic virtues and therefore the venerability ofthe Servant of God Antonio Rosmini (together with two other priests, three sisters and a German layman).

Remembering Stephen
"Coming to perfection in so short a while, he achieved long life; his soul being pleasing to the Lord, he has taken him quickly from the wickedness around him" (Wis 4:1 3-14a JB) About Stephen's perfection it is the Lord to judge; my judgment is just a human one. However, I can say that he was seriously working on it, and all here have witnessed so.

From Rome to Ngong Hills
In writing this article I will use something that I learnt in mission anthropology at Tangaza college. There are three different stages that a missionary undergoes when entering a new culture: 1) fascination (I'd say amazement), 2) rejection and 3) accommodation. This is what happened to me.

News from the Rosminlan World
The East African Vice Province held their assembly at Mwambani from January 10th to the 12th. Fr Firmati Tarimo had recently been appointed Vice Provincial, and this was his first assembly. Fr General has made Visitations to India and to Italy and a very brief visit to Ireland.

Father Anthony Leon Hamson LC 1930-2006
His body may have passed on, but his achievements remain with us. Our province is richer for his life with us and for this we give praise to God our Father.

Practical Application of Indifference
As we shall see indifference, as practised in our relatiorshlp wi th God in the Institute of Charity, is anything but disinierested for it consist in a readiness to do God's will when this is made known.

Update to the Rosminian Project in Tanzania
Apart from the health centre itself, the Rosminians have cleared and ploughed 200 acres of the overgrown land in Kwalukonge for corn, beans, vegetables and nuts to provide much needed food for the local people.

In the autumn of2005, Father General and the Curia decided to call together a meeting of those involved in initial Formation in the Institute in India and Africa.

News from the Novitiate House in Coimbatore
The ThoppuThottam Ashram was setup 1995 on the outskirts of Coimbatore, in a village called Rottigoundanur. This house is situated amidst farmland and beautifully adorned by the Blue Mountain as a backdrop.

Appeal for Fr.Tltus' School in Trivandrum
For a number of years now, the Rosminians in India have been entrusted with the care of the parish of St. Sebastian in Vettuthura, situated almost next door to our first house in India.

Rosmini Centre House of Prayer
The Rosmini Centre House of Prayer at Ratcliffe had its official opening on 21 st September 2006 with a Healing Mass attended by more than 35 people. It was a very joyful occasion and most visitors felt very much at home.

In Memory of Fr. Peter Eedy
Peter was born in Cardiff on 16th July 1934 and in 1955 the Lord called him to embrace the Consecrated Life and he was received into the Community Life of the Rosminians at Wadhurst.

Rosmini and St. Ignatius
Rosmini's interest in St Ignatius is a fascinating subject. Students of church history will know that the Jesuit order, or the Society of Jesus, was suppressed from 1773-1814.
