Bible Study - Acts
The word "Acts" means "actions, deeds" performed by the Apostles, especially Peter and Paul, as they spread the Gospel and established the Church beginning from "Jerusalem and in all of Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth" (Acts 1,8). St. Luke is the author of Acts which he wrote as a sequel to the Gospel, as he states in the opening words of the book (Acts 1,1).

Part 3Bible Study - Revelation
APOCALYPSE is the Greek title of this book: the word means "Revelation", that is, the same Revelation which is the essence of the Bible: GOD REVEALS HIMSELF TO US, through the Prophets in the Old Testament, through His SON in the New Testament (the Gospels, Acts, and the Letters). The book of REVELATION is the last book of the Bible, the last canonical revelation of God to us through the Scriptures.

Part 3The Five Wounds of Holy Church
It is undoubtedly the most famous of Rosmini’s books, written with great passion and love for the Church. It caused him immense personal damage, but he felt that the renewal of the Church was of such great urgency that he had to be prepared to suffer for it. Rosmini borrowed the image of the “crucified Church” from Pope Innocent IV (1243-1254).

Do we Have a Spiritual Soul?
The philosophical world of today seems to have embraced the idea that science is the answer to all problems. It is not a new idea, the French philosopher Auguste Comte had already declared two hundred years ago that he was inaugurating the final and most fruitful stage in the history of humanity, the “scientific stage”, having left behind the previous two, the “polytheistic stage” and the “monotheistic stage”. Early humanity had created “gods” first and then “god” in order to explain the mysterious character of the world; but now we have science, and it will bring humanity to a full and positive understanding of the universe, including the depths of the human being.

Part 3A Brief History of Ideas
Philosophy is the patrimony of the whole world, all peoples have been involved in formulating philosophical views. Taoism, Confucianism, Buddhism, and Hinduism are oriental religions supported by strong philosophical examination of reality and of the meaning of human existence; equally many great ancient nations in Africa – the Ashante and the Yoruba, for example – developed high forms of civilization based on philosophical and religious interpretation of the world.
