Programme 2019

Introduction to the 2019 Programme.

New elements:

There will be a series of sessions on Saturday afternoons under the title of “God in my life: Invitation, Mission and Gratitude ”. A number of speakers will talk about the hand of God in their lives focusing on some particular direction that has been taken, with additional reflection on the gifts received from their mission and hence thanksgiving. Some of the topics will be: school chaplaincy, prison ministry, helping the handicapped etc.

In June Fr. Ted Mullen will lead two Saturday afternoons introducing Celtic Spirituality concluding the month with a day of retreat on this theme. The normal Lent and Advent retreats will happen.

Fr. Antonio Belsito will address a number of Scripture Topics, three in the Spring and three in the Autumn on Tuesday evenings.

As in previous years: the monthly Healing Mass, guided by Fr. Denis Labarttete, will take place, as will Wednesday Evening Prayer and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament; the second and fourth Tuesdays Contemplative Prayer between two and three o’clock; Lectio Divina on the last Saturday of the month in the late afternoon.

Repeated Events, some weekly others monthly with times

~ Saturday – Talks and Reflection: God in my Life: Invitation,Mission and Gratitude 2-4.30pm with tea.

~ Saturday Lectio Divina: Starts at 3 pm. Divine Mercy Chaplet, followed by meditation on the following Sunday’s Gospel

~ Friday - Healing Mass: Includes Rosary,Mass and Adoration 7-9pm

~Wednesday: Adoration and Evening Prayer 7 pm

~ 2nd & 4th Tuesdays: Contemplative Prayer 2-3 pm

~ Tuesday Scripture talks: 7-8.30pm

~ Full-day Retreats: Start at 10am and include Mass, meditation, Adoration and the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Lunch is provided. Booking necessary.
